Who these are with

These terms are between you and the CareerAgent team (business details on request at [email protected]), which operates CareerAgent. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, do not use it. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

What CareerAgent is

A job search tool. It indexes postings published on company career sites and applicant tracking systems, helps you track applications, and — on the Basic and Pro plans — scores postings against your profile and drafts application material with AI. We are not an employer, a recruiter or an agency. We do not submit applications for you, and we have no say in who gets hired.

Free, Basic and Pro

• Free. Search, filters, pipeline, follow-ups, profile and export. No account needed, no payment, no time limit. With an account, Free also includes a few AI credits each month.
• Basic. Everything in Free with more AI credits each month, for the AI features you run yourself.
• Pro. Everything in Basic with more AI credits still and up to ten stored resumes (five on Free and Basic). Pro also scores new postings against your profile in the background and, if you turn them on, sends alerts for the best matches by push notification.
• Every plan has one monthly pool of AI credits, and each AI action spends its share: one credit per job match evaluation, per cover letter or cold email and per resume import, two per tailored resume, and a quarter of a credit per application question the extension answers. The Pricing page lists the current credits for each plan.
• Credits reset at the start of each monthly period (the 1st of the month on Free, the billing date on Basic and Pro) and do not roll over. 3-month and one-time periods get the credits each month, not all at once.
• A failed AI request costs nothing: whatever it reserved is returned automatically.
• A paid plan is for one person. Do not share an account.

Payment, renewal and cancellation

Basic and Pro are billed in advance through Razorpay at the price shown at checkout, and renew automatically each month (or every 3 months, for Pro) until you cancel. Cancelling from Billing stops the next renewal and leaves your plan working until the end of the period you have paid for. If your card or UPI app cannot hold a recurring payment, you can pay once instead: that covers one period, does not renew, and ends with your account on Free. CareerAgent is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged on these prices. If we register in future, we’ll update the prices and tell you before any change applies to you.

Changing plan. Moving from Basic to Pro starts once Pro is paid; Basic stops then, and the unused part of its period is credited back to your payment method as part of the upgrade. Moving from Pro to Basic takes effect at your next renewal: you authorise Basic now, Pro stays until its period ends, and Basic is charged from then.

Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including one-time payments. We refund a payment taken in error, and the unused part of the period if we close a paid account that did nothing wrong. The cancellation and refund policy has the details.

If we change the price, we will tell you by email before it applies to you, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.

What the AI does and does not promise

AI output is a draft, not advice and not fact. Match scores are an opinion produced by a language model; cover letters and emails can be wrong, generic or subtly inaccurate about your own history. Read everything before you send it, and never send a claim about yourself that is not true. We are not responsible for what you send or for how an employer responds to it.

You keep whatever rights you have in the text the AI produces for you. We claim none of it.

The job index

Postings come from employers' own sites and are reproduced so you can find them. They belong to the employers who wrote them, they can be out of date or already filled, and we make no promise that any of them is live, accurate or genuine. Always apply on the employer's own site, which every posting links to, and tell us when one is dead.

Using it fairly

• Do not scrape, bulk-download or resell the index, or use it to build a competing database.
• Do not try to get round the AI credits, the rate limits or the bot check, or share credentials.
• Do not use the AI features to impersonate someone, to produce false claims about qualifications, or for anything illegal.
• Do not attack, overload or probe the service, or interfere with anyone else's use of it.

Suspension and ending the agreement

You can stop at any time: cancel your plan, or delete your account from Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk; if we close a paid account that did nothing wrong, we refund the unused part of the period.

No warranty, and what we are liable for

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that the index is complete, or that using it will get you a job. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with CareerAgent is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost opportunities, lost earnings or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the bottom of this page says when they last changed, and we will email account holders before a change that materially affects them.
