Your pipeline: tracking applications and follow-ups

Updated

The Pipeline keeps every job you are pursuing in one place, from saved to offer.

Adding jobs

  • Press I applied on any posting in CareerAgent. It goes into your pipeline as Applied, with a follow-up reminder three days later.
  • With the browser extension, save jobs from LinkedIn, Naukri and other sites, and have applications added automatically when an employer confirms you applied.

Each job moves through Saved, Applied, Interviewing, Offer and Archived. The pipeline has three views: Board, Follow-ups and Stats.

Follow-up reminders

Applied and Interviewing jobs get a follow-up date. The Follow-ups view groups them into overdue, due soon and upcoming, and a small number on the Pipeline tab shows how many need attention. You can mark one as followed up, snooze it for 3 or 7 days, or copy a ready-written follow-up email.

Reminders show inside CareerAgent and the extension only. We do not send follow-up reminders by email or notification.

Where your pipeline is stored

Your pipeline is kept in your CareerAgent account, so you need to sign in to use it. That means:

  • it is the same on every computer, phone and browser you sign in on, and a change on one shows on the others when you return to them;
  • your notes and contact details are encrypted on our servers, and we never sell any of it;
  • clearing your browser's site data does not touch it;
  • deleting your account deletes it.

If you used the pipeline before it moved into accounts, the first time you sign in CareerAgent moves what this browser held into your account and then deletes it from the browser. Where your account already has a posting, your account's version is kept.

The browser extension still keeps its own copy for now. Jobs you save with it go into your account the next time you open CareerAgent in the same browser, and changes made on the site go back to the extension. You can also press Sync now in Settings.

Downloading a copy

In Settings, under Your data, Download your data saves one file with everything your account holds: profile, pipeline, scores, drafts, saved answers, resumes and documents.

A backup file from an earlier version (named like careeragent-backup-2026-10-18.json) can still be loaded with Import backup. What your account does not have yet is added; nothing in it is overwritten.
